Exploring Non-Function:  Quraan Collectors’ “Stand”

This “stand” addresses an anxiety of possession and collection within an object oriented ontology. It partially conceals a Quraan while an incorporated sensor triggers further concealment, thus heightening the audience’s desire to view its pages. The stand incorporates opposing functions of display and concealment, simultaneously, in order to challenge its typical function.
